Winter chill rushes into Wisconsin

MADISON (WKOW) -- The winter storm that dumped 17 inches of snow in parts of northwestern Wisconsin is being followed by a severe cold snap that could cause temperatures in that area to plunge as low as 25 degrees below zero this weekend.

Temperatures dropped noticably Thursday in the Madison area and the 27 StormTrack Weather team expects them to drop further this weekend, with cold temperatures staying through at least late next week.

27 News Chief Meteorologist Bob Lindmeier will deliver his complete forecast for the weekend, including any chances of snow in the Madison area, in 27 News at 5, 6 and 10.
