UW-Madison among campuses developing flex option programs



MADISON (WKOW) -- UW-Madison is one of four more University of Wisconsin System schools developing flex option programs.

Under this program, students earn college credit by demonstrating real-life knowledge through a series of online tests. It's set to begin at the Milwaukee campus and two-year schools next month.

System officials announced Friday UW-Madison, UW-Parkside and UW-Stevens Point will develop flex option programs in areas like sales, geospatial technology and drug counseling.

UW-Stout also has committed to developing a flex certificate program in project management. The school is still deciding whether the make the certificate available on the undergraduate or post-graduate levels.
