MADISON (WKOW) -- Packers fans attending Sunday's game should be aware of expected traffic delays due to the Leo Frigo Bridge closure.
The state Department of Transportation says that the closure of the Leo Frigo Bridge on Interstate 49 as well as construction on U.S. 41 and Highway 29 will cause traffic delays on game day.
Motorists should be prepared for orange barrels, narrow lanes, soft shoulders, and increased volume. The DOT is telling travelers to allow extra time to reach their destinations.
About 30,000 vehicles travel across the Leo Frigo bridge for a Packers' home game, but that is all being diverted. The heaviest congestion is expected to happen on Sunday between 8 a.m. and noon, and then again between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
