LA CROSSE (WKOW) -- A blast of Arctic air has arrived, and the National Weather Service has issued wind-chill advisories in central Wisconsin up to the northeast corner of the state.
Meteorologists say wind chills would be between 20 and 30 degrees below zero Saturday. Temperatures are expected to ease slightly before noon.
The counties covered by the advisories are Clark, Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Taylor, Vilas, and Wood.
In addition, the weather service has issued a hazardous-weather outlook for southwest and central Wisconsin. It predicts four to five inches of fluffy snow accumulating Sunday into the night. That will be followed by wind chills of minus 10 to minus 25 degrees Monday through Wednesday.
