MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is set to get more information on the 2013 gun deer hunt.
DNR officials are expected to report to the Natural Resources Board during Tuesday's meeting detailing the results from the nine-day season.
Preliminary data shows the DNR sold about 140 more licenses this year, but hunters killed 7 percent fewer deer than last year. The buck harvest was down 15 percent.
DNR officials say cold weather may have forced many hunters to cut their outings short this year.
