Kids get to skate with the Badgers

MADISON (WKOW) -- To get out of the snow Sunday night, some families in Madison went to the ice.

It was the annual "Skate with the Badgers" at the Kohl Center. Families got the chance to skate with the Wisconsin men's hockey team. They could also take pictures and get autographs from the players.

Team members say the event is as much fun for them as it is for the families.

"It's a really cool thing that we're able to do this with all of our supporters. They make a lot of everything possible, you know as far as these facilities and everything. Just to be able to give back to them, talk to them and share a few stories. And hopefully influence some kids lives," said senior forward Keegan Meuer.

Kids were also able to get pictures with Bucky Badger. The event was free.
