MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Doctors have recommended Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett spend another night in the hospital, where he's being treated for exhaustion following a 20-kilometer run.
The mayor's office says Barrett underwent a series of tests Monday at Wheaton Franciscan-Wisconsin Heart Hospital and doctors found "nothing alarming."
Barrett's spokesman, Jeff Fleming, says the mayor is in good spirits and continues to monitor city business from the hospital.
Barrett turned 60 on Sunday, the same day he ran the indoor race at the Pettit National Ice Center. He finished the run before requiring medical attention.
