NORTH FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol says the increase in roadside mechanical problems in the below-zero weather has caused them to make changes in their normal patrol strategy.
"We'll maybe do less enforcement, and just patrolling. Going up and down the highway particularly the rural areas that maybe don't get a lot of traffic but if somebody would become stranded out in a rural area in this kind of weather it would be a problem," said state patroller Tim McGrath.
Patrollers also warn drivers to be on the lookout for black ice.
