LAKE MILLS (WKOW) -- Donning hair nets, dozens of Lake Mills students turned the high school cafeteria into a warehouse operation Tuesday, as they prepared food packets for children in Haiti.
Students combined soy, rice, vegetables, and vitamins into a food mix, with the potential to feed 400,000 children.
The volunteer effort was organized by Rockford based non profit Kids Around the World. A spokesperson says more than two hundred shipping cartons of meals are expected to arrive in Port-Au-Prince for distribution before the holidays.
