MADISON (AP) -- The Wisconsin Assembly's natural resources committee is expected to get a briefing this week on all things deer-related.
The Department of Natural Resources is set to walk the committee through the highlights of this year's nine-day gun hunt and efforts to implement herd management recommendations from Governor Scott Walker's so-called deer czar. In addition, the agency is expected to provide an update on the fight against chronic wasting disease.
The briefing is set for Wednesday at the state Capitol. The committee isn't scheduled to take any action.
