Snowmobile rescue on Lake Winnebago

CALUMENT COUNTY (WKOW) -- Emergency crews rescue a snowmobile driver on Lake Winnebago Sunday.

Authorities told our affiliate WBAY in Green Bay that two men were riding their snowmobiles across the lake when they became lost because of blowing snow.

One of the men did make it back to shore, but realized his 33-year-old brother was missing. Officials say they worried he may have fallen through the ice.

After about two hours a Department of Natural Resources plane did locate the victim. Crews from the sky were able to guide the rescuers on the ground and the man was safely brought to shore.
