One woman, two children injured in Green Co. crash

TOWN OF SYLVESTER (WKOW) -- Three people, two of them children, are injured after a crash on Highway 11.

Green County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. Friday near the Town of Sylvester.  Investigation shows 50-year-old Tracey L. Schollmeyer from Hudsonville, Michigan lost control of her vehicle while driving down Highway 11 near Hartwig Road.

Schollmeyer's car collided head on with a semi.  Her car spun into a ditch.  Tracey Schollmeyer, 13-year-old Sophie Schollmeyer, and 10-year-old Isabella Schollmeyer were injured and transferred to a hospital.

The semi-driver was injured, but he was treated at the scene.

Police say ice was a factor in the crash.  Parts of Highway 11 were closed for approximately four hours.  The accident is still under investigation.
