Witnesses say arguments over basketball shoes led to shooting

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- People in line to buy basketball shoes got more than they bargained for in Milwaukee Saturday when shots were fired.

Janice Banyard says her family friend was one of dozens of people who had been waiting since 1:00 a.m. to get their hands on the new Air Jordans.

"When the bullets started flying, he jumped out of his car and ran behind this building right here, this building and when I got here he was laying on the ground," Banyard says.

She says people in the line started arguing and that led to shooting.

Police on the scene say two men were shot but their injuries don't look to be life threatening.
