BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- The Rock County district attorney's office says a photobombing led to a shooting that left a 23-year-old injured.
Twenty-nine-year-old Thamar Harper was charged Monday first-degree attempted homicide in connection with the shooting of 23-year-old Marcus McKinnis the day before in the Eagles Club parking lot in Beloit.
According to a criminal complaint, McKinnis and some people were attempting to take a group picture when the suspect jumped into the frame.
The complaint says Harper and the group start fighting and security asked them to leave.
Harper then allegedly followed McKinnis and at least two other men to their cars.
McKinnis is being treated at a Madison hospital. Another person was also shot but was released at the scene.
Harper is due in court Friday.
