Police in Beloit looking for suspect in two armed robberies


BELOIT (WKOW) -- Police in Beloit are looking for the person they believe was behind two armed robberies.

Both of the crimes happened on Monday. First, officers were called to the Beloit Bicycle Company. Police say the suspect threatened the clerk with a hammer and then got away with cash. No one was hurt.

Next, officers say the suspect targeted the Pizza Hut on Fourth Street. Police say the suspect threatened a staff member with a knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt during this robbery.

Police describe the suspect as a male/white, 6' tall, with a thin build. They say he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
