Deerfield man arrested after pulling gun at a bar

DEERFIELD (WKOW) -- A 35-year-old Deerfield man was arrested Monday night after displaying a handgun in front of patrons a bar.

Dane County Sheriff's deputies were called to Kurt's Never Inn around 9:30 Monday night after witnesses reported a man had assaulted a female customer and then pulled a handgun from a coat, threatening the woman.

Pablo Lira left the bar shortly before Dane County Sheriff's deputies arrived.  However, with the help of K9 Rico, Lira was found a short time later at The Rail House Bar and was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct while armed, 4th degree sexual assault and carrying a handgun in a Class B establishment.

The handgun was recovered from a snowbank near Kurt's Never Inn the following day.
