MADISON (WKOW) -- A Middleton man is in jail after police say he pointed a gun at another driver during a road rage incident.
The Dane County Sheriff's office says they received a call shortly after 4:00 PM Friday afternoon from woman driving Highway 18/151. Officials say she told them a black Subaru had been tailgating and swerving towards her car. At one point, according to deputies, the Subaru pulled along the passenger side of her vehicle and the driver pointed a handgun directly at her.
Deputies responded immediately and were able to find the Subaru about one minute later. With the help of Verona Police, the driver and passenger of the Subaru were interviewed and the car was searched.
Authorities say .40 caliber handgun was found in the vehicle. Twenty-five-year-old Nathan Pike was then arrested for First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Disorderly Conduct While Armed and Reckless Driving. He's currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
