GRANT COUNTY (WKOW) -- The woman killed Tuesday in a crash on Rock Cut Road near Dickeyville has been identified as 76-year-old Frances P. Chaffee.
Investigators with the Wisconsin State Patrol says Chaffee, of Hazel Green, was traveling south on Rock Cut around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday when she lost control on a curve at the bottom of a hill near highway 11.
Chaffee's vehicle slid sideways, striking the bridge guard rail on the passenger side of the vehicle. The car overturned and slid down the embankment ending up in the middle of a creek.
Chaffee was the only person inside. Law enforcement says she was wearing a seat belt.
