Runners brave cold for New Year's day dash

MADISON (WKOW) -- Hundreds of runners brave the frigid temperatures for the 9th annual New Year's day dash. The annual event raises money to fight Huntington's disease, a genetic disorder that affects muscle coordination.
Participants could take part in a one, two or five mile race through the snow covered fields and bike trails of Madison.
During the last three years, the event has raised more than $5,000 to battle Huntington's disease.
