WI Women Fish offers safety tips for ice fishing

MADISON (WKOW) -- The number of women anglers in Wisconsin grows each year and a local organization wants to recruit more women from the Midwest to learn how to safely go ice fishing.

"Wisconsin Women Fish" offers ice fishing safety classes. They recommend you pack all the necessary gear on the lakes. Packing floatation devices, floating suits, portable ice shacks and sonar units could help keep you safe.
