MADISON (WKOW) -- A 45-year-old man reported a battery, from last week, to Madison Police Thursday morning.

The victim claims he was cut and battered by 44-year-old Leo Cowan Christmas Eve.  Both men were at an apartment on W. Badger Road when the alleged attack took place.

44-year-old Cowan allegedly cut the man on the neck and hand, and used a baseball bat to strike him in the head.  The victim has been taken to a hospital to have his injuries looked at.

Cowan is currently in the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of second degree reckless endangerment.
