Nashville man arrested for breaking into Madison home


MADISON (WKOW) -- Residents of a Breese Terrace home were awakened early Wednesday morning to the sound of breaking glass.

The residents believed it was a burglary in progress and called Madison Police.

When officers arrived, they found a man in the basement taking a bottle of alcohol out of the refrigerator.  The 22-year-old had gained access by breaking a window.

The man explained he lives in Nashville and was in town visiting his friends.  At some point during the night, while out celebrating, he and his friends became separated.  He believed he was in their home, he was in correct.

The man was arrested for trespassing and damage to property.
