MADISON (WKOW) -- Several locations in Madison will be open and serving a day shelter purpose to help people cope with Monday's expected sub-zero cold.
Porchlight's Hospitality House on Martin Street is open from 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m. Officials say a van route established in November will also run, picking people up at the Salvation Army, the Dane County Job Center and other locations to ensure people have day time shelter.
Other public building locations open Monday include: the State Capitol; Madison's public library downtown; and the Madison City County Building.
Bethel Lutheran Church in downtown Madison also operates a day shelter.
