UPDATE: Water main breaks near Odana & Monroe in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- As of 9:30 p.m., the Madison Water Utility says water pressure was restored to most customers affected by the main break.

Ten homes on nearby Cross Street will be without water until repairs are complete. Crews were expected to fix the main in two to four hours. Those customers were notified by crew members on scene.

MADISON (WKOW) -- A water main break Friday night could lead to a few icy roads in Madison.

A 6-inch water main broke at Wyota Avenue and Cross Street, an intersection that's near Mallatt's Pharmacy on Monroe Street.

The Madison Water Utility says people to the west of that area experienced low water pressure.
They expected to have full service restored by around 9:30 p.m. Repairs were scheduled to begin later Friday night and were expected to take several hours.

Water utility crews have been busy in this cold. They had at least three other main breaks since Thursday night.
