MADISON (WKOW) -- Some of the snowmobile trails in Dane County will be open starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, a few others are not.
According to the Dane County Parks Division, the trails in the Northeast and Southeast Quadrants will be opened at 5 p.m. Saturday; however, the Western quadrants are still closed. The Glacial Drumlin State Trail is one of the trails that will be opened.
The Council's president Duane Meyers encourages snowmobilers to use caution still. Agricultural fields can be very rough since there were not as many opportunities to level the fields this year.
Snowmobilers should stay on the trails and respect all surrounding property.
