PORTAGE (WKOW) -- Kmart will be closing three more stores in Wisconsin, eliminating more than 300 jobs.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Sears Holdings Corp. will close the stores in Hales Corners and Greenfield in mid April, followed by the store in Portage.
Of those 300-plus jobs being eliminated, 78 are in Portage.
A spokesman for Sears Holdings says the stores are closing because the leases were not renewed and they're trying to reduce expenses.
This follows the closure of Kmart stores in Brookfield, Fort Atkinson and Racine.
