IOWA COUNTY (WKOW) -- A traffic stop in Iowa County Tuesday evening lead to a first offense OWI and drug charges for both the driver and the passenger.
According to the Iowa County Sheriff's Department, deputies stopped a vehicle pulling a trailer on HWY 18/151, near Barneveld, just before 7 p.m. Authorities say the trailer was sparking underneath.
They determined nothing was wrong with the vehicle, but arrested its occupants.
The passenger, 25-year-old Zachary Pursell of Lancaster, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Manufacture/Deliver Drug Paraphernalia, Resist/Obstruct an Officer and a Probation Hold.
The driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old Ronald Eggers of Muscoda, was arrested for OWI, first offense, and Manufacture/Deliver Drug Paraphernalia.
