New details released in 2007 murder of Kelly Nolan

MADISON (WKOW) -- New details came out Wednesday about the 2007 murder of Kelly Nolan in Madison.

The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office filed to change Nolan's manner of death. Since 2007, it was classified as "pending." According to a filing obtained by the State Journal, the death certificate will now read that Nolan died from "homicidal violence," "including blunt force trauma of torso with fractures."

The description of the event will now be listed as "assaulted by other(s)."

The Medical Examiner's Office did not comment on what prompted the change.

Kelly Nolan disappeared June 23, 2007 after a night in downtown Madison. Her body was found 16 days later.

No one has been arrested. Police say they still have two detectives working the case.
