EAGLE POINT (WKOW) -- An Eagle Point snow plow driver came to the rescue of an elderly man who he found lying in a snow bank Tuesday.
Don Bernier had a birds eye view riding in the plow when he saw the man laying motionless in the snow. Bernier says he realized he knew the man and jumped out of the plow to help.
"I could see he was breathing and then I took my jacket off and I got him up
on my lap kind of and wrapped my jacket around him and put my hood over his
head, than his arms started moving, his left arm did."
Bernier is thankful that he was plowing that infrequently traveled road that day. As of Wednesday, Sugars remained in the hospital however his condition is unknown.
