WAUSAU (WKOW) -- Multiple explosive devices were intentionally set in a home and car at a rural Wausau home that exploded Thursday morning.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says five devices were found. They also state human remains were found in the basement Friday morning. The name of the man is not being released at this time.
Officials state the explosives have been "taken care of" and the scene is deemed safe. No word on what type of devices were hooked up, however, there were hundreds of feet of fuse connecting the devices to the vehicle and home. The car did not explode, but authorities were able to safely detonate it.
