BELOIT (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker highlighted a manufacturing success story in Beloit on Friday.
The governor toured the new facility leased by Universal Acoustic and Emission Technologies.
With its new "Center of Excellence", the company says it will add 50 jobs.
Governor Walker said the state was happy to help the manufacturer grow.
"We were pleased to play a small role in it through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation but the larger context is trying to create a better business climate in the state in particular to help manufacturers like Universal, Ojibway to grow here, expand here and in the future to do even more of this with our production tax credit," he said.
Universal AET received more than $300,000 in tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The company makes products to curb noise and emissions from engines.
