Madison police commission reviewing applications for new chief


MADISON (WKOW) -- The search for a new chief of the Madison Police Department is making progress.

The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners released a statement saying applications were due Friday.  20 applications were received, four from the Madison Police Department, four from within the state, and 12 from out-of-state applicants.

On Monday, the commission is expected to schedule a review of each application.
