The 2014 Wisconsin Legislature begins session Tuesday

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Legislature is beginning the new year by voting on several bills including a package of bills to combat heroin use. Tuesday is the first day that The Senate and Assembly are in session in 2014.

Lawmakers are expected to meet over the next three months in order to finish up any business before campaign season begins.

Governor Scott Walker will deliver his State of State address on January 22nd. New information on the revenue estimates will be released around the time of the address, and if the numbers are positive it's expected that Republican lawmakers will try for tax cuts.
