MADISON (WKOW) -- State court officials have issued a warning about an email summoning you to appear in "The Court of Washington". Opening it could compromise your entire computer system. Officials are letting the public know that they do not use emails to send out any summons.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports more than 100 calls have came into the Washington County Court office from people who received the illegitimate email and wanted to confirm its authenticity.
Any state court appearance can be viewed online at the Wisconsin court system's website at wcca.wicourts.gov
