UPDATE: Second suspect in custody after Brown Deer robbery

GLENDALE, Wisconsin (WKOW) -- Two people have been arrested following a robbery in Brown Deer Thursday.

According to Milwaukee's WISN-TV, a second suspect in the robbery was taken into custody around 1 p.m.

The first suspect was arrested at approximately 12:10 p.m.

Police said two people robbed a credit union and left with an unknown amount of money.

Witnesses at the scene said the two robbers hopped into a car, driven by a third man, and fled the scene.

Brown Deer police said they are also looking for the third suspect, who is believed to be a tall, black male in his early 20s with a thin build. 

Witnesses said the third suspect was wearing a black hoody and black, puffy jacket.

 The robbery forced a temporary lock down of Cardinal Stritch University, as well as a nearby high school and a Jewish Day School.

All three have re-opened.


GLENDALE, Wisconsin (WKOW) -- A robbery at a suburban Milwaukee credit union locked down a university and high school Thursday.

Both Cardinal Stritch University and nearby Nicolet High School said they kept students inside Thursday while police searched nearby neighborhoods for suspects, according to WISN-TV.

The robbery happened in the suburb of Brown Deer.

One person has been taken into custody. Police told WISN they believed a second suspect is surrounded.
