TOWN OF MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Deputies arrested a Madison man Thursday night after he was reported stumbling along the side of the road.
Around 8:30 p.m., the Dane County Sheriff's Department says a call came in about a man walking along the road near the intersection of Highway 14 and Wayside Road.
Deputies found 30-year-old Dany Cadena-Fernandez there. Officers could smell an odor of intoxicants on him and found his vehicle on the side of the road a short distance away. Deputies confirmed that Cadena-Fernandez had been operating this vehicle. Officers had him perform standardized field sobriety tests and he was subsequently arrested.
The Sheriff's Department says Cadena-Fernandez will be booked into the Dane County Jail for his fourth OWI offense. He was also cited for having open intoxicants, failure to maintain control and not having insurance.
