MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison restaurant is robbed on its last day of business.
Madison police say someone went into the Cousins Subs restaurant at 1124 South Park Street around 5:00 Thursday. The man had a handgun and demanded money from the only clerk there.
After the clerk gave him some money, the suspect told the clerk to walk to the back kitchen area, and the suspect calmly left, police say.
UW Police provided a K9 to help track the suspect, but they couldn't find him. The clerk was not hurt and there were no customers in the store at the time.
Police say this was that Cousins restaurant's last day of business before permanently closing its doors.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, about 6'1" to 6'3" with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a gray knit cap, a sweatshirt, black jeans and gray gloves.
