Whitewater plant closing, 42 workers lose jobs


WHITEWATER (WKOW) -- VyMaC Corporation announced Tuesday that its Whitewater plant is closing and 42 workers will be left unemployed.

The company said in a statement that it is being sold and the buyer will not operate the Whitewater facility.

The company website also lists a location in Fort Atkinson; it was not on the closing list.

VyMaC is a custom sewing and mattress accessory company that was started in 1958.

The company is phasing out the jobs in Whitewater, with a scheduled final closing on February 28.
