MADISON (WKOW) -- The cost of mailing a letter will increase by 3 cents starting on Sunday. It's the largest increase in postage prices in more than a decade. Saturday will be the last day you can by stamps at the 46 cent price. The cost of mailing a postcard will also jump one penny, and will now cost 34 cents. The price jumps are an effort by the U.S. Postal Service to keep up with inflation, and to make up some of their $5 billion in annual loses.
