UPDATE: Maryland shooting victims identified

COLUMBIA, MD (AP) -- Police say three people are dead and five more are injured after a shooting at a Maryland mall.

Howard County Police tweeted the identities of two victims.  According to their official Twitter, 21-year-old Brianna Benlolo of College Park, Maryland and 25-year-old Tyler Johnson of Ellicott City, Maryland died.  They were both employees of Zumiez at the mall where the attack took place.

Howard County General Hospital tweeted that the five people who were injured have all been treated and released.

The gunman also died and has not been identified.

Five other people were injured, but none seriously.  The motive of the shooting is still not known.

Police say they don't think there are any more victims, but they're still checking the Mall in Columbia to make sure.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There's no word yet on a possible motive.

COLUMBIA, MD (AP) -- Police confirm that three people are dead after a shooting at a suburban Baltimore mall. 

Howard County Police tweeted one of the deceased is suspected to be the shooter.  They believe the mall is secure.

The Howard County fire and emergency services department sent out a tweet late Saturday morning saying that police and rescuers were responding to the Mall in Columbia, Maryland.

Authorities received the 911 call around 11:15 a.m. from someone reporting that shots had been fired.  Police responded to the scene and found three people dead, including one person who was found near a gun and ammunition.

The mall is at the center of the town, a suburb of both Baltimore and Washington.
