Sun Prairie residents displaced in apartment fire

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) --- Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at 346 South Walker Way in Sun Prairie at 11:22 a.m. Monday.  

Fire crews from Sun Prairie, Blooming Grove, Deforest, Maple Bluff, and Cottage Grove were able to knock down the fire within fourteen minutes of arriving.

The residents in three units of the apartment complex are now displaced due to fire, smoke, and water damage.  The Red Cross is helping out.

Officials say an electrical heater is blamed for the fire and damages are estimated to exceed $150,000.  No injuries were reported.
