Madison man arrested for 6th OWI

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man was arrested for his 6th offense of drunken driving Monday evening.
According to a Madison Police report, 49-year-old Michael Peterson's vehicle got stuck in deep snow of the median on the westbound Beltline between Gammon Road and Whitney Way around 5:00 p.m.
The report says a concerned citizen had called police to tell them a driver that had has vehicle stuck had been all over the road during Monday's evening rush hour.
When officers arrived on scene, Peterson was pushing the gas pedal hard and spinning the vehicle's tires. Officials say he was trying to leave the scene. An officer told Peterson to stop hitting the gas because it was not doing any good. 
Officers arrested Peterson fro 6th offense OWI.
