Average tax cut under Walker plan put at $177

MADISON (WKOW) -- A new report shows you may save a little more than originally expected under Governor Scott Walker's tax cut proposal.

The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau says the average homeowner will save $177. That's up from the $150 estimated last week.

All income tax filers would get a cut of $46.

The owner of a $151,000 home would save $131.

The governor also wants to update income tax withholding tables to put more money into your paycheck. He unveiled the plan last week in his State of the State speech.
