UW Athletics sign stolen

MADISON (WKOW) -- UW Police say early Sunday morning, January 19, four people stole a large sign from Camp Randall Stadium.

The 12 foot by 2 foot sign was used to direct visitors to the football offices.  All four suspects, two males and two females, were seen on surveillance camera carrying it out.  Construction crews had taken down the sign to do some work, and it was left leaning on a concrete wall inside the stadium when the theft took place.

The crime is believed to be some sort of prank, nonetheless, UW Athletics would like the sign back.  The estimated value is approximately $500.

Anyone with any information related to this crime is asked to contact UW Madison police at 264-COPS.
