JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Madison woman was arrested for her 6th OWI after she fled police and resisted arrest around 2:30 Saturday morning.
According to the Janesville Police Department, police were investigating a disturbance at a parking ramp on N. Parker Drive when 33-year-old Tanya Kraege drove off after an officer tried to talk to her.
An officer found the vehicle and tried to stop the driver again, but the driver led the officer on a five minute pursuit throughout the neighborhood before crashing into a snowbank on W. Court Street and N. Grant Avenue.
Police say Kraege refused to leave her car. Officers deployed a taser and eventually brought her into custody.
Police say Kraege had 5 previous OWI convictions, but she had a valid license. Kraege was brought to Rock County Jail. Her charges were 6th offense OWI, fleeing, and resisting an officer.
