Madison police search for armed robbery suspects

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department is searching for three men involved in an armed robbery Sunday night.

Officers were called to the 400 block of W. Mifflin street around 7:10 p.m. They say three male, black suspects entered the unlocked home and demanded the victims' cell phones and wallet, then ordered them into a closet before fleeing on foot. According to the victims, one of the suspects was carrying a gun. Officers say neither victim was injured during the event.

The University of Wisconsin Police Department sent out a Wisc alert immediately, warning students living in the area of the incident. The alert has been lifted.

Officers were able to track and recover the victims' cell phones, but were not able to locate the suspects. They're asking anyone with more information to call the Madison Police Department at (608) 266-6014.
