MADISON (WKOW) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation eased some restrictions to help Wisconsin with its propane shortage.
The DOT extended the hours-of-service waiver to allow propane trucks to work longer to deliver the fuel.
Nearly 250,000 people in Wisconsin are affected by the shortage.
The price per gallon is up to $6 in some parts of the state; the average at this time last year was a $1.50 per gallon.
