EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (AP) -- Family members say the woman killed in an officer-involved shooting on a highway in Eden Prairie was a mom of two. And court records show the man she was with had a lengthy police record.
Authorities say 34-year-old Dawn Marie Pfister and 36-year-old Matthew Vincent Serbus were killed Friday in an officer-involved shooting on Highway 212. Both died of multiple gunshot wounds after leading police on a high speed chase.
Few details have been released about the shooting. Family members tell the Star Tribune they are still seeking answers.
Bridget Johnson is Pfister's stepmother. She says Pfister was from Elkhorn, Wisconsin and has two children, ages 12 and 9.
Serbus had a long criminal record. At the time of the shooting, there were pending warrants for their arrests.
