"Strollin Colon" tours Madison area

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- An unusual, but important health exhibit is on display around the Madison area this week.
It's called the Strollin Colon; a pink, inflatable, 12 foot tall, ten foot high symbol of the importance of a healthy colon.

The UW Carbone Cancer Center, the UW Digestive Health Center and Gilda's Club are sponsoring the Strollin Colon to promote awareness and regular cancer screenings.

As visitors walk through the three-dimensional exhibit, they will see everything on a large scale: giant polyps, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and different stages of colon cancer.

UW Health physicians from the UW Carbone Cancer Center and the UW Health Digestive Health Center will be on hand to answer questions.
