UPDATE: Fire destroys Pardeeville auto repair shop

PARDEEVILLE (WKOW) -- Flames destroy an auto repair shop in Pardeeville early Wednesday morning.

The Pardeeville Fire Chief says an assistant chief first noticed the flames around 5:40 a.m. while he was driving by. He called it in just as someone else was calling 911. When crews got to L & D Auto Repair at 212 West Chestnut Street, the entire shop was engulfed in flames.

The business was about 25 feet from the owner's home, the chief says. He was not injured. The home itself had some heat damage.

The auto repair shop is a total loss, with damages estimated at $300,000. There was a vehicle inside at the time of the fire.


PARDEEVILLE (WKOW) -- There is an active structure fire at L & D Auto Repair in Pardeeville, according to Columbia County dispatchers.

The building is engulfed in flames. The repair shop is located at 212 West Chestnut Street in Pardeeville. Fire Department crews are currently working at the scene.
